Presentacion Fashion Film by Ruven Afanador

Amore mio is a very special gift from renowned fashion photographer Ruven Afanador at 080 Barcelona Fashion.

A wonderful fashion film shot during the last edition of the Catalan fashion show  at the Maritime Museum of Barcelona. The filming was opened to the public in a creative happening that excited everyone who came.

The star is the unclassifiable fashion icon Rossy De Palma who gave non- stop of her art and energy for the more than five hours the shooting lasted.

Five dancers choreographed by Rafael Amargo participated too, as well as the models Ricardo Dominguez and Alex Estil·les.

Amore mio is a strange display of visual stimuli, a reel in deep black and white  inspired by the themes closest to Afanador: Hispanic folklore, the grotesque, the unusual, humor and tragedy.

Evoking Goya’s monster prints or Picasso like drawings in black and white, the film explores, with a strange aesthetic, a dreamlike surreal universe that unites such disparate elements as the cap-grossos (big heads) of Catalan festivals with Isabel Toledo models or the Berlin Cabaret makeup  of the thirties.

The result is a delicious exercise with deep " Afanador character ".
