The comebacks of the 080 Barcelona Fashion catwalk

080 Designers
Sunday, 27 January

In this 23rd edition the 080 Barcelona Fashion welcomes back a designer and a brand that, after missing some editions, are once again at the Catalan catwalk to present their new collections. They are two much soughtafter comebacks that we celebrate because they bring the style of both a young upcoming designer and a established iconic brand like Sita Murt, the womenswear ready to wear firm from Igualada whose origins date back to 1924 and was especially well-known in the 80s and 90s, when the namesake designer was the creative director.

Now under the reigns of her daugther Isabel Esteve, appointed creative director after her mother passed away in 2014, Sita Murt is back on the catwalk with “Uncommon attitude”, its proposal for autumn-winter 2019-20. Inspired by women artists when art was yet a man’s world, Sita Murt presents strong women of great intuition dressed in colors and classic men’s fabrics adopted to the feminine figure thanks to the patterns and volumes. Knitwear remains the star fabric in a collection that pays tribute to the personality and character of these pioneering women and that will debut on the first day of shows, Monday 4th at 2 p.m.

In addition, the young designer Ze García is also back on the 080 Barcelona Fashion catwalk, where last year he brought together some of the Spanish most popular influencers, like Dulceida, Jessica Goicoechea, Laura Escanes and Maria Pombo, among many others. Many of them are clients and friends of this young designer that aims to bring back the craftsmanship of couture for the millennial public. In his new collection, José María García González, the name behind his brand Ze García, gets his inspiration from Rose Bertin, named the minister of fashion by Marie Antoinette in the 17th century and predecessor of the first big couture names like Charles Frederik Worth. It’s a majestic starting point for a baroque line with a minimal and contemporary touch that we will also discover on Monday 4th at 8:30 p.m., to bring the forst day of shows to a close.
