THE NEWCOMERS OF THE 24th 080 BARCELONA FASHION EDITION

080 Designers
Monday, 10 June

Each new edition of the 080 Barcelona Fashion catwalk is a new opportunity to discover new talents of the fashion world. The organization welcomes emerging brands and designers to broaden the styles present on the runway and offer a wider view of the current state of Catalan fashion.
.
In this 24th edition, while waiting for the final calendar, there are three newcomers that will make their debut on the runway of the Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site: designer Sonia Carrasco, demi-couture fashion brand Narbon and emerging designer Eñaut.
.

.
As for the ready to wear, Sonia Carrasco is a young womenswear designer trained at IED Madrid who presents a sustainable fashion line of contemporary minimalistic style committed to the environment. The designer, who before launching her eponymous line had worked with luxury brands like Alexander McQueen and Céline, wants to show with this project that an attractive and cool clothing line can be sustainable. Besides presenting timeless designs, she works with recycled and organic materials. And not only in fabrics but also in packaging, labels, threads…
.

.
As for Narbon, it’s the womenswear project of designer Patricia Narbon. Licensed in 2018 in the University of Applied Arts Vienna, under the tutoring of Hussein Chalayan, and Bernhard Willhelm before, Patricia Narbon has developed a maximalist style based on a personal take on traditional techniques and a strong color palette. Moreover, aware of the current challenges of the fashion sector, Narbon presents itself as a fair fashion and sustainable brand, producing under request and promoting clothes’ rental. Narbon produces locally, both in Vienna and Barcelona, and defines itself as an ethical and cruelty-free brand.

Finally, Eñaut is an emerging designer already known in the 080 circuit as he was the winner of the emerging design contest Rec.0/080 third edition. Thanks to this, we could take part in the pop-up stores fashion festival Rec Stores, where he sold his menswear designs directly to the public. Later on, he also participated in the Pop Ups Gallery of the 23rd edition of the 080 and now culminates his relationship with the 080 by presenting his latest collection on the runway. He will show his vision of menswear based on patterns and forms, since, before getting his degree in Fashion in IED Barcelona, Eñaut Barruetabeña was interested in Architecture. With black as his signature color, he likes to introduce another color in his collections. Countdown has started to discover which color inspires him this season.
