New Blood
Wednesday, 7 November

The last edition of the 080 Barcelona Fashion hosted a new edition of the 080 Investor Day, an initiative boosted along with Seed&Click to promote entrepreneurship in the fashion sector. Zer Collection, the start-up founded by Ane Castro and Núria Costa, was the winner in the start-up category thanks to the digital manufacture of their sustainable fashion brand, which works hard to ensure a zero waste production.
It seems that 2018 is the year of these two Catalan women entrepreneurs as Zer Collection has also succeeded lately in the European Contest Fashioning Sustainability organized by the textile company Freudenberg and aimed at fashion studdents of design schools from Germany, United Kingdom, France, Italy, Poland and Spain. The award ceremony took place some weeks ago in Verona, Italy, where a jury composed by experts in fashion design, opinion leaders and journalists picked the most sustainable and attractive looks in three categories: Innovation, Technology and Design.
Zer Collection won in the Innovation category, sharing the joy of the two founders Ane Castro and Núria Costa with the design school Esdi, where the two winners met and studied together. A joy that we also celebrate from the 080 Barcelona Fashion catwalk, a platform that has supported young talent and sustainability from the beginning. Congratulations!
