BIOGRAPHY

Lebor Gabala is the professional endeavor of Maite Muñoz, who learned the trade from pioneers of the fashion industry in this country such as Pedro Morago, Rap Diffusion, or Mila and Tucho Balado.

A lovely sounding name was her first statement. It is the translation of Leabhar Ghabhála Erenn, a set of Gaelic manuscripts of the eleventh century which recount the founding of Ireland. The fantasy of the stories and the fact that Ireland is so closely tied to the wool tradition, made her decide to adopt the phonetic title, which is pronounced Lebor Gabala in Spanish.

COLLECTION- FALL/WINTER 2017

SCHEREZADE

The magic of Scheherazade's tales transports us to a Thousand and one nights. Devore velvet caftans; sheer crushed silk dresses in exotic spice colors; silks printed with perfumed flowers. Wide and enveloping volumes.
Knitwear plays a fundamental role, as could not be otherwise, in Lebor Gabala’s collections. Cashmere, baby wool, alpaca and silk are the protagonists, in different textures and gauges, where chunky knits are the stars of the collection. Jacquards woven overcoats reminiscent of zellige mosaic tiles, adorned with trimmings and lambskin, to protect from the cold nights in the Atlas Mountains.
