Javier studied at the (IED) BCN and upon graduating he moved to LA to work alongside Jeremy Scott Creative Director at Moschino. After this time in the USA, Javier returned to Frankfurt by way of London. For six months, he worked at Agi&Sam in London. Once back in Germany, Javier worked as Jersey&Outerwear Designer for a large retailer, but this large scale experience didn't fulfill Javier’s desire for hands-on work, drawing, pattern making and cutting, true artisan work. “At the core of JNORIG is a very precise pattern developed carefully for each garment. We design for a young, innovative male that takes risks in his own style. Playing with symmetry, minimal silhouettes and straight lines”

JNORIG´s AW18 collection is again designed around the fusion of two cultures. This season the collection ties together the cold from the Northwest Territories of Canada, inhabited by the Inuit, and the warmth of the Arabian Desert and the Semites. Like the print of a cracked surface that appears on several garments in the collection which could be interpreted as slates of ice but also a dried out steppe. The collection also sees a continuation on geometric shapes, this time in the form of striped paneling inspired by garments worn by Inuit cultures but with a modern twist. Fabrics have an animalistic feeling, reflecting on the relationship these cultures have with the animals they live with.
