Àlex Barrau Forti

Communications Manager for Spain in Desigual

Àlex has an extensive career in the world of design, fashion and communication. He has a Bachelor in Industrial Design from the Elisava University School in Barcelona and he worked as a freelance until he decided to move to London in 2008, in order to expand his horizons. After completing a "Packaging the Brand" course at Central Saint Martins -University of the Arts London- he began his contact with fashion, working on the retail world for the Italian brand Replay, where he discovered the world of communication and PR.
In 2010, he returned to Spain (Madrid) where he started working in the communication and public relations agency Finally, being the account manager of fashion brands such as Dockers, Liu Jo, Desigual, the German jewelry Wempe and the watch brands Corum and Movado.
Always opened to new challenges, in October 2017 he returned to Barcelona, his desired hometown, to become the current Communications Manager for Spain in Desigual.


Laia Moret

Fashion and pattern designer and digital design specialist

She has developed her professional career in different fashion brands acting as retail and fashion designer, trend analyst , pattern designer and creative manager. She has worked for companies and fashion brands such as IKEA, Inmaculada García, Texitura Magazine, Alex Andre Shoes, MATT Sports, etc. Teacher of digital tools for the fashion industry since 2004 she is currently working in l'Escola de la Dona (Diputació de Barcelona) where she is also head of the Fashion Department. She has collaborated with ICM (Institut Català de la Moda) and  is teaching in the Online Master for Management and Creation of Fashion Brands ( Escuela Superior de Diseño de Barcelona EsDesign)




Eduardo García Llamas

The word that best defines Eduardo García Llamas (Málaga, 1987) is "restless". After working for an advertising agency for two years, in 2010 he created Abhfya.com, an independent publishing / creative studio which, from Barcelona, creates projects focused on fashion, culture and lifestyle. His main publications are FUCKING YOUNG !, focused on men's fashion and international distribution, with a reference website that gets more than 3 Million visits every month; FUET MAGAZINE, about Nothing Conventional and VIN Gastronomy, a magazine for girls looking for something more in a trend magazine.



Michela Gattermayer

Italian, from Milan, 56 years old. Gattermayer has been devoted to fashion journalism for her entire career. She was at Elle Italia for 16 years in different positions, including Fashion Director. After that she moved to Grazia to manage the fashion area. Gattermayer was among the founders of monthly magazine Velvet for the Repubblica-Espresso Group and today she is deputy director at Gioia!, one of the largest circulation Italian fashion magazines.



Huma Humayun


Huma Humayun is Fashion & Features Editor of Schön! Magazine, where she has been on the editorial team since 2012. She has also worked a freelance fashion and set stylist, contributing to magazines such as Hong Kong Tatler, Vanity Fair Italia and Condé Nast Brides. Prior to her career in fashion, Huma worked in PR and Governmental Affairs for several years. She has a First Class Honours Degree in Fashion Communication and a Post Graduate Diploma with Distinction in Fashion and Lifestyle Journalism, both from London College of Fashion.
