11 Jan 2018 - 00:00

“An annual small format activity programme over the territory with fashion as its common denominator”. This is the 080 Community, the new project launched by 080 Barcelona Fashion presented today by the catwalk's director, Miquel Rodriguez, within the press meeting to talk about all the news related to the 21st edition of the runway that kicks-off on January 29th.

With the 080 Community, the fashion event widens its concept beyond its traditional two annual editions of the catwalk with the objective of disseminating fashion across Catalonia, giving visibility to artists from different disciplines and interconnecting fashion with other creative expressions through actions like the creation of a community of followers, fans and collaborators of small format prhoolsentations of fashion collections and accessories.

Likewise, with the same goal of expanding 080 Barcelona Fashion, Miquel Rodriguez has announced another new initiative: the collaboration with ESADE business school to boost synergies between fashion and business through an annual programme. Steps are already being taken to create a course that allows thesis work to be carried out jointly by an ESADE MBA student and a student from a design and fashion school. Also underway is the creation of IT DAYS, a series of talks to bring together companies, designers and students.
