E-COMMERCE, 3D PRINTING AND SUSTAINABLE FASHION AMONG THE FINALISTS OF THE 080 INVESTOR DAY

With the aim of boosting business within the 080 Barcelone Fashion and generate synergies between fashion start-ups and investors, the organization presents the 4th edition of the 080 Fashion Investor Day, in collaboration with Seed&Click, a company that promotes innovation, entrepreneurship and private funding. Today the finalists of the upcoming edition have been known and they have set their date for this international fashion investment forum that will take place on June 26th at the Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site and will host fashion expert Tito Chowdhury as the keynote speaker.

This June 2018 the 080 Investor Day will present two categories once again: Start-ups and Raising Brands, for emerging fashion designers and brands. All the finalist projects were founded in 2017 and, in the Start-ups category, represent different models of business: from e-commerce platforms to new models of textile production, and search 600.000 of average capital. Regarding the Raising Brands category, the finalists search 392.000 euros of average capital.

The finalists in the tech Start-ups category applied to the fashion industry are:

  • lagaam (Barcelona), a digital native fashion brand founded by influencer Inés Arroyo focused on timeless fashion made in Europe.
  • Love the brands (Madrid): A disruptive aggregator and data solution for fashion brands.
  • Pislow (Barcelona): A web for fashion renting with a catalogue of different fashion and accessories brands.
  • Viume AI (Barcelona): An assistant that combines the human expertise with machine learning to help on the perfect look for any occasion.
  • Zer Collection (Barcelona): An innovative fashion brand that uses digital fabrication and is based on circular economy to achieve zero-waste.

 
The finalists in the Raising Brands category are:

  • Coby (Barcelona): A revolutionary shoe brand whose main aim is comfort.
  • Hale (Barcelona): A sport’s fashion brand for her that strives for woman’s empowerment.
  • Vulpinus (Barcelona): A new eyewear brand that uses high-quality materials like titan, wood and acetate.
  • Nuria Serra (Barcelona): Timeless and confortable designs for woman define this fashion brand based in Barcelona.
  • Tropic Feel (Barcelona): The first water-friendly sneakers, versatile and light.

 
The 11 finalists will present their projects in an elevator pitch in front of an audience of investors, entrepreneurs and professionals of the fashion industry to opt not only to the potential funding from the investor present, but also to one of the awards of each category. An award valued in 120,000 euros in services of the top partner companies involved in the 080 Investor Day with the likes of McCann Worldgroup, 4YFN, Baker McKenzie, Amazon Web Services, Grupo Zeta and ESADE Creápolis
