Cakmak has explained that “the role of fashion is evolving and bringing on new meanings; like a symbol of status, a new conscience and also a symbol of lack of status”. He has also added that “fashion designers are currently perceived as activists, who solve problems, drive change, boost community and generate an impact”.
As the key to success for a fashion brand of our time, Cakmak believes that it needs to have “a unique DNA and the need to know its product, the benefit it generates and the heart of its mission”.
