For designers and brands, fashion trade shows are a great distribution channel, complementary to the runways, because they help to get to new buyers and market segments. In Europe, professional Parisian trade show Who’s Next is a reference in the Mediterranean area due its innovative vision and constant support to young talents. This year it’s its 20th anniversary and it introduces important changes like the merging with the accessory trade show Première Classe. Both of them take place this weekend, from Friday 23rd until Monday 26th, at Paris Porte de Versailles to show to international buyers all the trends and looks for next Autumn-Winter 2015-16.

Another change of this 20th edition is the new segmentation of the trade show and the reduced number of the brands involved which, according to the organization, will result in an offer of higher quality. Among more than 1000 prêt-à-porter brands on show, there are some Catalan names which stand out, some of which are already classics of this event leader in Europe, which is visited by 55000 people, 40% of whom international.

These are some of the Catalan names that have taken part in this edition: Sita Murt, Aldo Martins, Justicia Ruano, Menchén Tomàs, Rita Row, Naulover y Yerse have their stand at the trade show and, some few days later, will present their collections in the 080 Barcelona Fashion catwalk.

On the other side, the accessory trade show Première Classe also includes Catalan names with the likes of Chie Mihara in footwear and Beatriz Furest in handbags. The big novelty of celebrating both events together assures a rise in the number of visitors, sales volume and activities. From runways to trend forums, this week-end’s visitors to Paris Porte de Versailles will be able to learn about next season’s urban fashion and prêt-à-porter from different points of view.
