080 Trend: Tropical

Heat comes and with high temperatures, apparel takes the energy and vitality of the style based on the tropical lushness of the flora and fauna of exotic paradises. Designers and manufacturers of 080 Barcelona Fashion have also heard the call of the wild in their Spring-Summer 2014 collections that result with prints of flowers and fruits, plant motifs and vibrant. 

 

Tendencia 080: Tropical

The designer Alexis Reyna bet for white-black pairing to give prominence to the usual pattern in the tropical trend: the palms in the designer look is simple and elegant. Attention to detail: transparent river sandals trendsetters this season. Moreover, the designer Celia Vela resorts to exotic floral dresses with acid colours that highlight the feminine silhouette. The patterns become more obvious with Desigual collection where flowers and plants take over the XL clothes.
 
Tendència 080: Tropical

The leaves of the palm trees also inspire some of the spring’s looks from brands like Custo Barcelona and Escorpion who prefer cool colours palette to evoke tropical landscapes near the sea. This trend supports all types of parts and combinations, ranging from small motifs, to whole outfits that highlights the attraction for wild flora and fauna. This last one, is the case Robustella Krizia collection inspired by singer Carmen Miranda with acid colours and summer fruits in abundance.

The tropical trend is also evident in male looks. The designer Selim de Somavilla dyes several pieces of his collection, 'Three Thousand Words' with exotic prints to evoke the dream of a summer night with fresh and contemporary designs. On the other hand, Punto Blanco chooses knitwear to capture palms in their tissues. Finally, Brain & Beast is the most risky one inspired by the tropical trend by betting for prints inspired by indigenous tribes who inhabit these exotic places prints.
