In the 23rd edition of the 080 Barcelona Fashion catwalk, the organization reaffirms its commitment to talent, creativity and excellence and presents a new edition of the 080 Awards along with the MODACC Award to international brands. The award ceremony will take place on Thursday 7th of February at the Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site, after four days of fashion shows to celebrate the current state of Catalan fashion.
On the one hand, the Generalitat de Catalunya National SEAT 080 Award to Emerging Design aims to support emerging designers so as they can establish their fashion business project, also at a logistics level. With the collaboration of SEAT, it’s a prize of 15,000 euro and is also a recognition in a creative level as a sample of the winning collection will become part of the Textile and Clothing Museum of Catalonia's collection, with the possibility to be on display in its permanent fashion exhibition. In this winter edition, these are the designers opting for this category: 113 Maison, Aubergin, Jnorig, Killing Weekend, Agnés Sunyer, Z1 and Mans Concept Menswear.
On the other hand, the 080 organization also wants to celebrate the talent of established brands and presents a new edition of the Generalitat de Catalunya National Award to the Best Collection at 080 Barcelona Fashion. In this winter 2019 edition, these are the firms opting for this category: Teo & Leah, Rubén Galarreta, Brain&Beast, Pablo Erroz, Txell Miras, Oscarleon, Miriam Ponsa, Antonio Miro, Little Creative Factory and Lebor Gabala.
Finally, aligned with the goal of internationalization of the Catalan catwalk, the MODACC Prize to exporting brands will also be awarded this 23rd edition. Little Creative Factory, Lebor Gabala, Sita Murt, Escorpion Studio Barcelona and Lola Casademunt are the contenders in this category.
