After the award ceremony, Brain & Beast have been in charge of bringing the fourth day of shows to a close at the 080 Barcelona Fashion. True to their edgy aesthetics, Brain & Beast have taken the runway by storm with their collection “Interlude No2/PROUD not GUILTY” where they have explored the concept of “culture”.
.
In the morning, the newcomer Xavi Grados has opened the catwalk with his collection “HÀLIT”. It’s a line inspired by the extreme situations that the individual can lead, when the feeling of choking takes us to the edge. To express it, the young designer has used tricot, the star of the collection, which, with the different thickness and volumes, succeeds in expressing this oppression. He has mixed it with leather in a collection in blues, greys, white and black.
.

Afterwards, Torras showed on the runway their collection “Rebel” for next autumn-winter 2016-17. The starting point it’s the will to be ourselves, with a subtle and elegant attitude, which translates into the use of fine materials, like leather and soft wools, in a classic colour palette, with neutral hues as the main trend.
.
Aldomartins has been the next on the 080 Barcelona Fashion runway to present “North wind”. Inspired by the native Indian-American towns and their tribal fabrics, it’s a collection with a folklore touch that brings colour to the urban soil.
.

Lupo Barcelona has followed, after their debut in the last edition of the 080 Barcelona Fashion. They have presented #LUPObyMERYL AW16 born from the dichotomy between nature and city. Thus, the colour palette combines more urban hues like denim blue, aubergine and pink with other more earthy ones like ochre, military green and ecru. The texture and pattern game results in revisited culottes, mini and midi skirts, as well as maxicoats, capes and pieces made by technological fabrics in a sports chic style.
.
In the afternoon, Yerse has been the first to show their collection on the catwalk. “Vegvísir” is their proposal for women for next autumn-winter 2016-17 and it’s a collection that looks to the magical horizons of Iceland. Tinged with sensuality and bravery, it’s a line with minimalistic and contemporary looks with pieces made in warm and soft fabrics mixed with other rawer which recall the inhospitable northern landscapes.
.

VM La Siberia has followed with their debut on the Catalan catwalk. The centenary company broke the classicism related to fur with “Trip”, their proposal to renew the brand based on the mix between fur and other materials and a contemporary aesthetics which includes looks with slightly punk vibes for the red tartan pattern and others of maximum sophistication with spectacular fur coats and fur-trimmed gala dresses.
.
Menchén Tomàs have the next ones to follow with “Notariat 11”, a collection that is a tribute to their beginnings and holds the name of the address where they opened their first atelier in 1995. They’ve revisited their own collection to present a line that combines lingerie with skater jackets in a colour palette in greens, pinks, blues and black which is very familiar to the brand.
