Guillem Rodriguez wins the award for best young Spanish designer

The winner of MODAFAD 2013Guillem Rodríguez, has added a new distinction that recognizes his work in the fashion world. His collection "Vulnérable", presented at the 080 Barcelona Fashion, has also convinced the jury of the XXVIII National Fashion Awards for Youth Designers who has not hesitated to grant him the distinction as the best talent of Spain. The event was held last weekend in Marbella, when the 22 years old young designer, participated in the event with a selection of 6 of the 20 looks displayed in the Catalan catwalk last January.

 

This new award will allow him to take his creations to the next edition of the international exhibition 'Who's Next' in Paris, which represents a new opportunity to unveil the talent of this former student of the Design Collage of Barcelona, BAU beyond Catalonia.

First stop: Mexico

Guillermo Rodriguez’s new designs will jump internationaly in May with his attendance to the Fashion Congress that will be held in the Mexican city of Aguascalientes UNIMODDA 2014. Catwalk will take place from th 5th to 11th of May and will be the first step to externalize the designer’s talent.

 

"Vulnérable" collection reflects on the role of the young romantic with a modern twist that takes you to the new times. The new Autumn-Winter 2014/2015 proposal is conceived from linear silhouettes accompanied by classical elements of tailoring, wool and textures. Emphasizes the white-black pairing, the greys and the touches of navy as predominant colours for the next season.
