Kima Gitart named finalist at the National Crafts Prize 2012

The seventh edition of the National Crafts Prize, which is given by the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Tourism, has appreciated the work of Kima Guitart in the fields of art, design and craftmanship by naming her finalist. The Catalan crafts master is a model of the current textile printing and has obtained various awards along her career. Furthermore, Guitart's collections of clothing and accessories have been presented in renowned fashion shows and they have also been given as institutional presents by companies, financial entities and public administrations such as FC Barcelona, Ifema, Fira de Barcelona and Telefónica, among others. Currently, many of her pieces are exhibited in museums and private collections.
 

The main focus of the National Crafts Prize is to foster development and competitivity of the small and medium-sized crafting enterprises in Spain by stimulating innovation, design and the capacity to adapt to the market.
