With the international designer Polite, we close four day of shows and much fashion on the 080 Barcelona Fashion runway taking place at the outstanding Sant Pau Art Nouveau Site. By the name “Migrations”, one of the four international guest designers of this edition, has shown a womenswear collection that uses classic elements along with the birds’ universe, which he translates into a radical more contemporary language.

He has closed a day that kicked off earlier in the morning with the emerging fashion brand 113 Maison, winner of the Rec.0/080 Barcelona Fashion contest thanks to its personal take in agender fashion, close to an avantgarde design, which reinvents classic patterns through abstraction. This newcomer has presented “Primer Florilegi”, a collection of handmade designs based on deconstruction. Declined in a sober palette, they result in timeless designs that run away from trends and the consumerism boosted by fast-fashion.

On the Catalan runway Aubergine has followed in a very different style but the same vision of a timeless fashion that stands the test of time. By the name “Visual Optimism”, the brand’s inspiration for next autumn-winter 2019-20 is the iconic fashion illustrator from the seventies Antonio López, pioneering in presenting poweful and free women in fashion’s magazines and ads, as well as the art of Kustav Klimt. The result is a collection that moves in two opposite lines: one femenine of light and sensual fabrics, and another masculine, with tailoring patterns, straight silhouettes and oversize pieces.

For her part, Agnes Sunyer has also presented today her new autumn-winter 2019-20 collection on the 080 Barcelona Fashion runway. By the name “Ryoko”, the show has taken the attendees to Japan through oversize designs with wide sleeves, kimonos and obi belts, which the designer presents in grey, black and dark red.

In the afternoon, Rubém Galarreta has made his debut on the 080 catwalk. This designer known for having dressed Lady Gaga, through the haute couture creator Manish Arora, has presented his own fashion line through his collection “Afterparty”, featuring over 40 looks in a urban style inspired by the best international parties. With layerings, daring prints and looks aimed at a young audience, the designers has brought new vibes to the 080.

Before today’s closure with Polite, Lebor Gabala has returned to the Catalan runway to present “Casual Friday”, a line that combines sportswear with urban style. The designer Maite Muñoz mixes her usual natural fabrics like silk and cashmere with technological ones in looks of clean lines enriched by a attractive color palette ranging from navy blue to orange, pink, violet and turquoise. It’s a collection that remains true to the Lebor Gabala’s spirit bringing together style and confort in her unique signature way.
