The womenswear brand Sweet Matitos closes today’s fashion shows with “To catch la Riviera”, a collection true to their feminine style through which we dive into the luxury and glamour of the fifties in the French Riviera. Francesc Maristany and Matias Jaramillo pay tribute to the iconic film “To catch a thief” and the actress Grace Kelly in a collection that is formed by three different lines.
In the morning, emerging fashion has drawn all the attention thanks to the newcomer brand Killing Weekend. This fashion brand for men and women has presented “Origins”, in which they wanted to reflect the effort and self-improvement of young designers through urban designs that play with textures, graphics, messages and photographies.
Next the runway has hosted another debut: Z1, which has presented “Negativity” for spring-summer 2019. It’s a sporty proposal aimed to the young public with unisex clothes made in technological fabrics, unexpected tailoring and unstructured shapes that represent the concept of sleek-wear.

From emerging fashion to swimwear through the following fashion show by Red Point, a current name in the summer editions of 080 Barcelona Fashion. “Natural beauty” is the name for their 2019 collection inspired by the sixties, with designs in crochet along with a sports influence although there are also more sophisticated designs for nighttime.

Xevi Fernández has been the next one on the 080 runway with “Five Minuts Fame”, name that recalls Andy Warhol and its infamous The Factory. The young designer presents an eccentric woman dressed in cut-out striped mini-dresses, oversize blazers and pailletes looks.

In a very different style, the brand .amt has followed to present “Saudade”, a collection based on the Açores, the most idyllic part of Portugal. Its selvatic climate and landscapes are the starting point for designs made in recycled cotton and tencel, a light fabric that recalls the wind of Sao Miguel.
In the afternoon, Escorpion Studio Barcelona has opened the runway with “Reflekto”, their ready to buy collection for autumn-winter 2019. Knitwear is the main element in a proposal defined by layerings, luxurious textures and prints.
Antonio Miro has followed with “The Sea”, his proposal for spring-summer 2019. Sorolla’s artwork is the base of this collection in pastel hues and light fabrics like cotton, viscose, voile and linen.

Afterwards, the 080 Barcelona Fashion runway has changed of style with the fashion show of Brain&Beast, ex aequo winner of the 080 National Award to the Best Collection in the last winter edition. Ángel Vilda, designer of the brand, has presented “Talisman / Aethetic Torsion nº1” where he reflects on the concept “unos mundus”, adopted by Carl Gustav Jung.
