On the last day of shows at the 080 Barcelona Fashion catwalk, this summer 2019 the action has taken us to the Port Marina Vela, the location chosen to host five swimwear collections beside the sea. Finally, the iconic brand Custo Barcelona has closed four days of shows with his proposal and has led to the award ceremony and the closing cocktail party of this 24th edition.
Como un Pez en el Agua has been the brand opening the 080 Barcelona Beach catwalk in this new location of Port Marina Vela. “Chic to beach” is their new swimwear proposal, inspired by a beach party with very stylish guests, wearing trendy bikinis, trikinis and swimsuits, with frills, small prints, soft colors and made in cotton.

Guillermina Baeza has followed to present “The past is not gone”, a swimwear collection with which the brand proves once again their motto “swimwear and lingerie are not only accessories”. On this occasion, the company is inspired by the nineties, sometimes in a very literal way by printing iconic photographs of top models of that golden age of fashion history on the looks seen on the catwalk.  Clean lines, round necklines, asymmetries, sparkly fabrics and the introduction of the brand logo are some nods to that iconic decade here updated through a color palette that ranges from yellow to purple and turquoise, to finish off with black and white.
To open the afternoon shows, the runway has welcomed the newcomer brand All Sisters, known in the industry for working with sustainable materials and aim at the woman of today, active and diverse, as shown by the different-sized model casting on the catwalk. Black and white are the only colors used in the most sustainable line of the brand, which, by the name of “Responsible Swimwear”, presents ecological swimsuits made in high quality fabrics. They are multifunctional, elegant and sexy designs that respect the woman’s silhouette and result both comfortable and modern, while mixing the surfer looks with a contemporary style.

Afterwards has been the turn of Laura Vecino, who has presented her first swimwear brand at the 080 Barcelona Beach. The designer also works based in a more sustainable fashion and uses premium ecological fabrics in her designs of clean lines that enhance the woman’s curves in a sophisticated and flattering way. The fashion show has also presented her kidswear collection and has counted with the collaboration of the artist Teresa de la Pisa and her bracelets, the printed silks by Natalia Lumbreras and the shoewear by Batana.
The last swimwear brand of this 24th edition was also a newcomer on the Port Marina Vela catwalk. Catalan brand All That She Loves has brought to 080 Barcekona Beach their collection “Kraft & Dye 2.0”, inspired by the Costa Brava and the waves of the sea. Tie dye is, without a doubt, the main element of this proposal, and also of the brand, as it’s the best representation of the union of the waves, the water, the rays of sunshine and the sand. It’s a trend on vogue this summer 2019 that will continue on top next summer according to the brand and that here is applied on designs in cotton and organic ribbed fabric, in looks that play with the mix & match and the layering.
