The first days of shows of the 18th edition of 080 Barcelona Fashion has topped off with the collection by TCN, the beachwear and lingerie brand that is introducing more ready-to-wear designs in its recent collections. Before, and after the official opening with the Minister of Business and Knowledge, Jordi Baiget, followed by the morning shows by CARLOTAOMS, KRIZIA ROBUSTELLA and Celia Vela; the runway has welcomed Yerse, the first to present its collection this first afternoon of shows. “The sea and the beach” is the name of this proposal that features navy stripes, geometric prints and loads of color, in diaphanous restless fabrics that move sensually.

The next one on the Catalan runway has been Justicia Ruano with her collection “Revolutionary Road”, where the designer has demonstrated her desire to search new forms of self-expression as it is more avant-garde than in other occasions. “An obsession to mix materials, textures, colors and finishing touches” said the designer about this collection where she introduces splashes of color and geometric patterns in an accomplished balance between sophistication and modern life. The psychedelic materials and diversity of silhouettes –with fitted suits, maxidresses and cocktail gowns- result in a collection of designs with a strong character and daring feel.

Miquel Suay
, on his side, has been the next one to show his proposal for spring-summer 2017 on the 080 Barcelona Fashion runway. In his case, the designer gets the inspiration from the star-architect Zaha Hadid, who recently passed away, recognized for her avant-garde vision and bold designs. Hence, Suay presents a menswear collection with a certain daring touch at first glance, although the designs are practical and functional in a neutral color palette combined with other saturated hues, with the texture game as the main element of the collection. It’s a proposal for a non-conformist and versatile man –although there have been some women’s looks too-, with a perfect balance between innovation and elegance.
