To breathe life to the designs of the 39 designers and brands that will show their collections at the 080 Barcelona Fashion 18th edition, the organization presents a casting with well-known names that highlight the national models both in the female and male categories.
Regarding the female models, the Spanish names stand out, especially those who are also successful on an international level like Afrodita Dorado, who already took part in the last 080 edition and has hit the runway for international brands like Balenciaga, Pucci, Carven, Elie Saab and Stella McCartney, names that show the outstanding versatility of this Spanish top model of Dominican roots. Other Spanish models familiar with the 080 Barcelona Fashion runway that come back in this 18th edition are Amanda Moreno; Dalianah Arekion, face of Chanel and Givenchy; Joana Sanz; Marina Pérez, a reference that has worked with designers like Marni and Alexander McQueen; Mayka Merino, who has walked the runway for Louis Vuitton and Prada; Mar González, who opened the Givenchy fashion show in his debut year at the Paris Fashion Week; Marta Ortiz and Neus Bermejo; apart from the new faces Beth Alastuey and Cecilia Gómez. Finally, as for the rest of female models, the casting also features international names like Bhumika Arora, Charlotte Lindvig, Morta Kontrimayte, Kasia Jujecska, Nastua Kusakina, Nila Cole or Tanya Katysheva.
In regards to the men’s casting, once again, there are some Spanish names that rock the International runways and that, after being present at the Milan Fashion Week and Paris Fashion Week, now they come back to the 080 Barcelona Fashion runway so as not to miss their date with the best Catalan fashion. This 18th edition welcomes, therefore, Piero Méndez, a top model from Asturias that has worked for brands like Prada, Bottega Veneta and Tom Ford; Óscar Kindelan, who comes to the 080 for second time in a row after working with designers like JW Anderson and Dries van Noten; Marçal Taberner; Sam Steele, who has brought his elegance of British roots to the shows of Emporio Armani and Roberto Cavalli, among others; Xavi Serrano, face of Dolce & Gabbana; and the new face Jaime Ferrandis, from Valencia who has worked for publications like Vogue and GQ. As for the international models, there are also some important names to highlight who debut at the Catalan runway like Alessio Pozzi, current face of Givenchy, and Argentinean Federico Dorcaz, model and singer. There will also be some names familiar of the 080 Barcelona Fashion, with the likes of French top Clement Chabernaud, considered the number 2 of the international ranking, as well as Sven de Vries, Baptiste Radufe, Janis Ancens and Rhys Pickering.
