The 23rd edition of the 080 Barcelona Fashion catwalk presents personal proposals in the current fashion state, some of which run away from the fleetingness of seasonal trends to focus on the timeless appeal and eternal style of classics like tailoring and top quality materials. Such is the case of international guest designer Esaú Yori, who makes his debut on the 080 with his womenswear collection for autumn-winter 2019-20 where he erases the gender barriers through designs that move between tradition and modernity.

With a sober color palette with white, black, denim and only one print –tartan-, the Peruvian designer based between Barcelona and China presents designs that enhance the feminine silhouette, despite responding to a masculine tradition. This game of opposites is reflected, for example, in the bustiers in a pinstripe pattern or over oversize shirts as well as the blazers fitted at the waist, which are one of the keys of the collection. The use of premium materials like Italian leather, Chinese silk and Australian wool is another characteristic of Esaú Yori’s fashion, a designer with an own voice that is also global because of the mix of cultures.
